A: The TA (Indian Territorial Army is the second line of defense after the Regular Indian Army. The current role of the TA is to relieve the regular army from static duties and assist the civil administration in dealing with natural calamities and maintaining essentials. A: Shortlisted candidates undergo a screening test at the respective Territorial Army headquarters. During PIB and written exam essential documents are scrutinized. The written exam consists of two papers for a duration of 2 hours each. Paper 1 covers Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics, while Paper 2 carries questions from General Knowledge and English. Candidates need to secure 40% marks in each paper and 50% in overall.
